Kommentar:
Mastrocinque bildet eine Gemme mit einem Osiris-Kanopus aus Buonarroti ("Gemme antiche da esso delineate", Ms. Biblioteca Marucelliana, Firenze, A XLVIII, p. 30, 464) ab und verbindet sie mit der Gemme aus Berlin, ÄM, Inv. Nr. 9839. Buonarrotis Darstellung scheint aber eher Pignoria 1605 (Vetustissimae tabulae aeneae explicatio) Taf. [1], Abb. [H] näher zu stehen, wenn auch letztere von allem in Verbindung gebrachten Gemmen eine schmalere, sich nach unten verjüngende anstelle einer runden Form zeigt.
